L’Inkre Magazine publishes original student work in the form of opinion essays, prose, poetry and photography. If you would like to submit any of your own personal writing or photography to us, we warmly invite you to send your work to us at inkre.magazine@gmail.com.
Publications are monthly, usually at the beginning or the end of each month. However, we are happy to receive submissions anytime.
Guidelines
For all writing, please send us your work as a Word document (.doc). If you are submitting photographs, be sure they are of acceptable quality and attach them to your email as image files (.jpg, .gif, etc). If you intend your photographs or illustrations to accompany your writing, please email these to us as attachments as well with the necessary instructions.
We humbly suggest the following guidelines for different forms of writing. However, we are flexible and are happy to make exceptions where reasonable.
- Opinion essays: 500-1000 words
- Prose: max 500 words
- Poetry: max 50 lines
How it works
Our editorial team will meet 10 days before the end of each month to review the submissions received. All submissions are reviewed anonymously, meaning your names do not appear on the documents as we read through them. Everyone who submits something will receive an email before the publication goes online, confirming the publishing of the work and/or providing editorial comments where relevant.
